Tico and the fairy tale - Film and book

Publication of a book and the making of a film.
The theme of the project is centred on a very young character, who one day, on hearing his grandfather telling the story of the fairy of the ria by the fireplace, decides to go in search of her. The plot is set in the 1940s and throughout the book and film, we will be able to follow the flora and fauna on a journey along the ria and its tributaries, as well as get to know a little more about the professions of the past, with special emphasis on fishing and harvesting the seaweed. This will be a production focused on the juvenile public, but that we think, will attract the interest of the people from Aveiro in general, of all ages. It will be a way for the older people to relive the Ria of other times, not in the form of a documentary, but in a dynamic adventure in which we will see hundreds of mollice-workers in the arms of the Ria, in their daily toil, as well as the younger people who will be able to get to know the insides of the Ria of Aveiro, its islands, its magic places, its channels, its mysticism and, at the end, discover that the Ria has a very special fairy.
Jorge Bacelar, a well-known photographer, joined this project. He will hold a photographic exhibition before the premiere of the film, where he will photograph each scene of the film and will thus tell the story of the film itself in photographs.
António Tedim, a well-known photographer from Lisbon, will also join this project. He will take the photographs of the "Making of" for an exhibition that will be shown at the film premieres, in the various municipalities.

Synopsis of the book/film:

After TICO hears his Grandfather telling the story of the Fairy of the River, he becomes so enthusiastic that he sets off in search of her.

How nice was the sunset that came down every day and seemed to tell him that he was special. The fish jumped in the water, the little rabbits hopped in a synchronous and melodious bustle, the clouds opened their most beautiful designs to the imagination of any mind that simply wanted to dream in the simplicity of a state of inner purity.

Decidedly, TICO sets off in search of something that will mark him forever.
